Complaints targeted treat
Back pain, a stiff shoulder, knee problems after exercise: almost everyone experiences musculoskeletal problems at some point. At PhysioKinex, we treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions using active and passive methods, tailored to your individual situation.
Diagnosis first, treatment second
Every course of treatment begins with a thorough assessment. We ask about your medical history, examine the affected areas and assess your range of motion. Only then do we work with you to determine the course of treatment, which we explain clearly and transparently.
Tailored treatment: no one-size-fits-all approach
Patients from Dübendorf, Stettbach and Schwamendingen appreciate that our physiotherapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Every case is different. This applies to acute lumbago just as much as it does to chronic back pain.
Active and passive: for long-term success
We combine passive measures, such as mobilisation and soft-tissue techniques, with active exercises that you will gradually be able to perform on your own. The aim is self-efficacy: you should understand what is happening in your body and learn how to manage it.

- Back pain (acute and chronic)

Things to know
FAQ: General Physiotherapy
When should I consider physiotherapy?
As soon as pain starts to affect your daily life, your sleep or your mobility. This may be following an acute incident such as a fall, or due to symptoms that gradually worsen over time. An early assessment is almost always advisable. The sooner we treat the condition, the less time the body needs to return to normal. Physiotherapy can also help as a preventative measure.
What happens at the first session?
We begin with a detailed discussion about your symptoms, medical history and goals. This is followed by a physical examination: range of motion, strength and pain patterns. Based on this, we explain our assessment and propose a treatment plan. The first treatment session may begin during this appointment.
How long does a course of treatment last?
This depends very much on the diagnosis, the severity of your condition and your initial state of health. Acute symptoms often respond well after just a few sessions. Chronic problems or conditions following surgery usually require longer-term care. Following the initial assessment, we will give you a realistic assessment, without making any false promises.
Do I have to take part in the physiotherapy sessions, or will I just be treated?
Both. Passive measures such as mobilisation and soft-tissue techniques form part of the treatment. However, active exercises – which you will gradually be able to do on your own – are just as important. Those who actively participate achieve better results more quickly. We’ll explain everything clearly and support you every step of the way.
